Tickets: £25 per car
Join us for an exciting day on the farm packed with hands-on activities, live demonstrations, animals, and great local food. Whether you’re young, young-at-heart, or simply curious about country life, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Take the wheel of a real tractor or digger, try clay shooting with expert 1:1 coaching, or hop on a tractor ride around the farm. Meet show cows and lambs in the animal corner, watch impressive gun dog displays, and enjoy traditional rural skills demonstrations including chainsaw carving, charcoal burning, and chipping displays. Feeling competitive? Have a go at the timed farmer challenge course or guess the weight of the bull!
With conservation talks, classic tractors, local produce, face painting, and delicious food and coffee stalls throughout the day, it’s the perfect family day out.

Tickets & Entry
Each ticket costs £25 and admits one car or a group of up to five walkers. Tickets are only sold in groups.
Please use the agricultural entrance to the Penn Farm.

Weather
The event will happen rain or shine. There is an indoor area for shelter if needed, but all activities are outdoors. Please dress for the weather so you can enjoy your day.
Activities & Attractions
A full timetable will be available on arrival.
- Age: 13+
- Supervision: All driving sessions are fully supervised.
- Experience: You’ll have a sit-in, guided driving session.
- Length: Each session lasts about 15 minutes.
- Running times: Available throughout the day.
Please note that there will not be any digger driving at this event.
- Suitable for all ages. Parents are welcome to help younger children.
- A prize will be given for the fastest time of the day.
Children can get close to our animals and watch them safely. Please note that petting is not allowed.
There will also be a chance to walk a cow during the day.
- Minimum Age: 5 (final discretion lies with the instructor)
- Booking: No need to book in advance. Just join the queue on the day.
- Equipment: All equipment is provided
Refreshments
Absolutely! Bring chairs, a blanket, or even a small table. Picnics are very welcome.
We have delicious farm-to-fork food from Standen Country Catering, plus:
- Homegrown burgers from Montreal Estate
- Cream teas
- Cookies and brownies
- Cakes
- Fresh coffee from FIKA
We try to offer a good variety, but as a small family event, we might not be able to meet every dietary need. If you have specific requirements, please plan ahead.
Accessibility
Yes, there are hardstanding and concrete areas around the yard. However, since this is a working farm, some activities take place on grass. Please wear suitable footwear for the best experience.
