A Look Back: Our First Great Pumpkin Pick
Our first Great Pumpkin Pick was a huge success – we loved meeting so many of you and seeing the joy on everyone’s faces as they explored the fields and chose from our bounty of pumpkins.
Over two wonderful weeks, more than 1,500 visitors joined us to wander through the maize maze, meet our vintage tractor, select the perfect pumpkin and enjoy some autumn family fun. Thank you for making it such a special first year.

Pick Your Christmas Tree Straight from the Estate
Next up, it’s time to turn festive. We’re opening our Christmas Tree plantation for the very first time. Across three weekends, you’ll be able to visit and choose your perfect tree while it’s still growing – fresh, fragrant, and sustainably raised right here on our Countryside Estate.
Choose from: Nordmann, Fraser, and Blue Spruce trees ranging from 3ft to 7ft.
Christmas Tree picking days:
- Sunday 30 November – 9.30 – 1.30pm
- Sunday 7 December – 9.30 – 1.30pm
- Sunday 14 December – 9.30 – 1.30pm

Take your time choosing the perfect tree – our Estate Team will cut and wrap it for you to take home. Because it’s freshly cut to order, it’ll stay beautifully green and fragrant throughout the festive period.

Life on the Estate
The Montreal Estate has been part of the Kent countryside for over 250 years, spanning nearly 2,900 acres of woodland, pasture and arable farmland.
Family-owned and run we’re proud to manage a mix of arable farming, livestock, forestry, renewable energy, residential properties, conference facilities and now seasonal events that bring the community together.
Our 2026 crops are already in the ground and growing well, our forestry team is hard at work managing diseased and dying trees to keep our woodlands healthy. The ash wood we collect is turned into robust charcoal which, which will be available to buy at selected events.
Our 150-strong cattle herd will soon be coming in for winter – we know they’ll be glad of the warmth, dry barns and hearty feed now the grass has stopped growing.
Looking Ahead: What’s Coming in 2026
After the success of our first MeriFest this Summer, we’re thrilled to announce that MeriFest 2026 will take place on Sunday 6 September – save the date. You can expect another great day of local music, hearty food, family fun, and plenty of community spirit – who knew the wellie toss and dog agility would be such a hit?
Keep an eye out for news on our Spring Family Farm Fun Day and the return of Pick Your Own Sunflowers and The Great Pumpkin Pick 2026.
